Code Adoption Cycle

State agencies may propose changes to building standards or regulations related to the implementation or enforcement of building standards. California Building Standards Law (Health and Safety Code, Division 13, Part 2.5, commencing with Section 18901) requires the agency to adopt building standards and then submit the proposed building standard to the BSC for adoption and/or approval.
