The 2001 triennial edition of the California Code of Regulations, Title 24 (California Building Standards Code) applies to all occupancies that applied for a building permit on or after November 1, 2002, and remains in effect until the effective date of the 2004 triennial edition.
You can examine a copy of Title 24 for free at depository libraries located throughout the state. You can also purchase the codes from its publishers and at various bookstores that carry technical books. Periodically, the BSC publishes errata and supplements to Title 24, which are included in the purchase cost.

Part 2 - 2001 California Building Code Reflects major changes in building design and construction requirements relating to fire and life safety and structural safety. Volumes 1 and 2 contain complete regulations and general construction building standards of state adopting agencies.
